Carter Vickers is a Los Angeles-based Scenic Designer. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts and Film, Television, and Media Studies from Loyola Marymount University.

Carter has designed and contributed to numerous productions across theatre and film. He’s worked on over 30 theatrical productions since starting college. Some of his Scenic Design credits include Puffs by Matt Cox, Red Demon by Hideki Noda, The Laramie Project by Moisés Kaufman, In the Next Room by Sarah Ruhl, and How to Defend Yourself by Liliana Padilla. He has also worked as a Production Designer on multiple independent shorts and LMU thesis films.

Additionally, Carter is currently the Assistant Scenic Designer to Christopher Scott Murillo, collaborating on productions at theaters such as The Antaeus Theatre Company, New Village Arts, and IAMA Theatre Company. As a freelance Scenic Painter and Carpenter, he has contributed to productions at various Los Angeles-based theatre organizations. He was recently the Scenic Design Intern at The Muny in St. Louis. Carter also has experience in stage management, props, and lighting design.

Carter is actively seeking Scenic and Production Design opportunities throughout Los Angeles. He is passionate about storytelling through design and thrives in collaborative, fast-paced creative environments
