Carter Vickers is a designer and theatre artist based in Los Angeles, California. He recently graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelor’s Degree in both Theatre Arts and Film, Television, and Media Studies. While at LMU, Carter worked on over 15 theatre productions including Scenic Design for Red Demon by Hideki Noda, In the Next Room by Sarah Ruhl, How to Defend Yourself by Liliana Padilla, and Five Women Wearing the Same Dress by Alan Ball. He also worked as a Production Designer on multiple LMU Thesis Films. Also at LMU, he was heavily involved with The Del Rey Players, a student run theatre company, as the Promotions Director for two years, as well as Alpha Psi Omega, a theatre honor society at LMU, as the re-founding President.
Primarily a scenic designer, Carter also enjoys stage management, lighting design, and acting. Over the past three years, Carter has had multiple jobs in the Entertainment and Theatre World. Notably, he spent the summer working at Stagedoor Manor (a well-known theatre summer camp) as a Scenic Designer where he designed 6 productions over 10 weeks. This past summer, he was the Scenic Design Intern at The Muny in St. Louis.
Carter is open to work in any design or stage management roles throughout Los Angeles. He absolutely loves continuously growing and learning from professionals about the career path he wishes to follow.
